OFAC sanctions check API for crypto wallets and names
Check a crypto wallet address against the OFAC SDN sanctions list before you pay it or accept funds: EVM (Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon), BTC, USDT, TRX and more, or a person or company name with aliases. Returns a verdict (block on a listed address, review on a name match, pass), each match with SDN ID, programs and strength, and the list date. A screening aid, not legal advice. Use before paying; with wallet risk: check_counterparty.
When to use it
- Screen a wallet address against the OFAC SDN list before paying or onboarding it
- Check a person or company name against SDN names and aliases
- Add a sanctions step to an AI agent's payment flow

Request
Over HTTP, with a card key from /credits:
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer adt_…" "https://tools.funwords.eu/sanctions/check?address=0x098B716B8Aaf21512996dC57EB0615e2383E2f96"
Or one of your 25 free calls, no key:
curl "https://tools.funwords.eu/sanctions/check?address=0x098B716B8Aaf21512996dC57EB0615e2383E2f96&trial=1"
Without a key, the same URL answers 402 Payment Required with x402 and MPP terms, so an agent with a wallet pays per call in USDC (Base, Polygon, Arbitrum or Solana over x402; Base or Tempo over MPP) and retries.

Questions
Which list does it check?
The US Treasury OFAC SDN list, including aliases and the listed digital currency addresses. Each match comes with its SDN ID, programs and the list date.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is a screening aid; confirm any match against official OFAC records before acting.
How do I pay?
Each successful call costs $0.005; failed calls are not charged. The first 25 calls are free. Then pay with card credits (from $1; the key goes in an Authorization header or, for clients that can only fetch a URL, as api_key= in the URL) or per call in USDC over x402 or MPP. No account is needed.
